Laura Green is a documentary director and editor based in San Francisco. Her award-winning debut feature documentary The Providers aired nationally on PBS’ Independent Lens in April 2019 with a viewership of 2.5 million. The documentary premiered at the 2018 Full Frame Film Festival and has received eight film festival awards including the Spotlight on Inspiration Documentary Award from the 2018 St. Louis International Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary from the 2018 Santa Fe Independent Film Festival. She has also directed, produced and edited five short documentaries, which played at numerous festivals, including Palm Springs Shortfest and Aspen Shortsfest. She edited True Son (2014), a feature length documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, as well as the Gotham and IDA-nominated documentary web-series The F-Word. Green is an Assistant Professor at San Francisco State University.
